Better safe than sorry?

Better safe than sorry? The use of asbestos in response to fire regulations half a century ago seemed such a good idea. But it launched an epidemic that will eventually claim the lives of 200,000 people as a result of asbestos-related lung cancer and mesothelioma. More evidence, as if we need it, that a precautionary approach is not always a good idea.
