Ethics experts
Science throws up endless ethical issues, concerns and debates. But when it comes to settling them, I am only really interested in hearing from one group: the public. Unethical science is, at its simplest, science that the people reject. There is still far too much emphasis on the Government, experts and seeking out the views of all the many "stakeholders" in ethical debates and too little on solid data from well designed (important caveat) surveys of public opinion. Even if the public is woefully ignorant of the details, and does not understand the subtleties of the science, the voice of the herd, not the "expert", is the only thing that really counts.

Should we Ban Moratoria?
Should we ban moratoria? Sometimes doing nothing is just fine. Sometimes it can cause harm. Abandoning a particularly "dangerous" technology wholesale can still kill, maim, and hurt future generations by preventing that technology from doing any good at all.
